Who I am and Why I do this

My name is Salaar Pourkhalili. I'm a fitness influencer, online coach, and the man behind @Salaarfit

Growing up, I thought it was impossible to look and feel how I do today while still enjoying my favorite foods and everything else that life has to offer. My brother has always battled with overeating due to his
autism, which led to me eating a lot and being very overweight as a child.

We were all taught that being healthy meant sacrifice, discipline,and compromising at least some level of happiness.

This was a concept I never understood - health & fitness
were always intended to build up the other areas of your life, not take away
from them.

Health and happiness should go hand-in-hand.

Every meal should feel like a cheat meal. You should love going to every workout

Unfortunately, many people have it all wrong. They think that to be healthy, you need to eat boring food, track every macro, and spend all your time in the gym. That's simply not true. Dedicating that much time and energy to anything will only consume your life, not improve it.

Fitness should always elevate your life, not consume it.

This is exactly why I started my Instagram and coaching – to
help change people's perspectives on dieting on their relationships with food.
